Inclusione Sociale e Benessere delle Comunità: strumenti e spunti operativi

This volume, developed within the scientific and training activities of the University of Padua’s Third Mission and Public Engagement project ISBC “Social Inclusion and Community Well-Being”, examines the construct of “multiple vulnerabilities” in light of its substantial effects on individuals, communities, and local socio-territorial systems. The book provides analytic contributions to rethinking the organisation of social, employment, and inclusion services, moving beyond a predominantly delivery-oriented logic toward a systemic, multi-perspective approach that is explicitly person-centred with respect to vulnerability. It critically addresses the positioning and professional role of practitioners within intersubjective and relational dynamics; the design of contexts that safeguard dignity and support processes of change with individuals and within communities; and intervention strategies aimed at enhancing people’s capabilities, interests, and values, including reflective awareness of personal strengths and limitations. By integrating conceptual knowledge with applied and practice-oriented perspectives, the volume is intended for practitioners and professionals in the field. It advances interpretive frameworks and proposes directions for practice innovation, the development of enabling contexts and settings, the support of personal and social development, the promotion of individual and collective well-being, and the protection of respect for persons in the full range of their characteristics, resources, difficulties, and vulnerabilities.
